This 3 Volume hardcover set was written in 1986-1989 by Wayne A. Huss, Ph.D., a history professor at Villanova University. Subtitled "A History of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Pennsylvania", Volume One covers 142 years (1731 - 1873), and Volume Two 113 years (1874 - 1986). Volume Three contains the biographies of the Grand Masters of Pennsylvania through 1989. Each volume originally sold for $22.95 each when they were released to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the independence of the Pennsylvania Grand Lodge from the English Grand Lodge. Thoroughly researched in both Masonic and non-Masonic sources, the history is presented in a narrative style interspersed with illustrations and photos.
